How does it work
Vermét doesn’t design seasonal collections. Instead, we have a capsule collection of timeless staples, to which we change colours and patterns. We use a unique crowdfunded business model, which allows us to line up demand and supply each time and eliminate stock and middlemen from ramping up the price. This way, we can offer you European produced, sustainable kidswear at affordable price.
We don’t need to persuade you to buy something we have already produced. You get what you actually want, not what we think you want.
Each product in our shop is called a “campaign”. We launch new campaigns continuously in grouped drops. Each campaign funding period is open for backing for 2 weeks. You show us your voice by backing the campaign if you see a style you love. Basically, you tell us what you want us to produce. If enough people fill the minimum production order quantity, i.e. back the campaign, we go-ahead to production. If the campaign doesn’t generate passion among you, we do not make that product.
When you back a campaign, you are not paying immediately. We validate your credit card, but you are charged only when the campaign successfully hits the funding goal. If the campaign doesn’t reach its goal, the campaign is cancelled. In this case, you are not charged.
The trade-off in this model is that you need to wait for your product to arrive a little longer than usual. Production time for most campaigns is 6-8 weeks, but we make all the effort to cut the time whenever possible. The estimated despatch time is listed on each campaign.
But we don’t leave you hanging for 6-8 weeks by your postal box, waiting for the parcel to arrive. Absolutely not! We want to provide you with the most compelling shopping experience. From our production tracking page, you’ll find out where and by whom your item is being made!
A funding period of a campaign lasts 2 weeks.
In many instances, the fabrics we offer are limited. So, if this limits our production to 100 units, the campaign will close as soon as those 100 orders are made. Once the maximum goal is hit for a given campaign, we can no longer accept orders. This can happen fast. For this reason, if you are really interested in something, we suggest you back it to ensure you can get your order in.
The minimums and maximums of each campaign are individually calculated. Many factors affect this, like the available amount of material, the size of the designated production facility and the facility’s capability to cut larger quantities.
In the case of Limited Art Edition styles, we agree with the artist on the maximum amount of the limited edition.
We aim to have conversations or polls with our customers, primarily on our social media channels, to determine what products you would like us to launch in campaign drops.
You can also enter a waiting list for a product at our online shop. This way, we know what you need. If you are on our waiting list, you will be informed by email if we launch that item in a campaign.

We aim to plan our production so that campaigns will reach their funding goal. If a campaign doesn’t generate passion among you, we generally do not make that product. In this case, the campaign is cancelled, and you are informed but not charged.
However, we’ll be in touch to let you know if we decide to make the products anyhow.
We aim to make only our customers order. So, we do not produce items to stock or retailers. This is to eliminate waste and overproduction. So only participating and backing a campaign can guarantee that you get your item.
In the rare event of customer returns, items might land in our online store, or we organize a pop-up shop in Finland. But as such occasions are far and wide chance, we suggest you back a campaign to ensure you can get what you need.
We base our measurements on Scandinavian children’s average height and weight in a given age range. Check out our fit guide for details regarding sizing on our garments.

Please remember that Vermét sells clothing with a pre-sale model, and the items are shipped approximately 6-8 weeks after the campaign closes. For this reason, you need to figure out with the above methods your kid’s current size and what the measure would be in 8-10 weeks.
Generally, we think a larger size might be a wise choice.
You can purchase from multiple different campaigns from the same campaign drop. We will check all orders when that drop funding period ends. If a campaign doesn’t generate passion among you, we generally do not make that product. In this case, the campaign is cancelled and removed from your total order. You are informed by email and receive a revised invoice. After this, we will charge your credit card for all the items that process into production.
Please note that all items will then be sent in one package after all produced items are ready for shipping. The combining, in some cases, may increase the delivery time estimates as the items are sent in one package after the final item production is finished.
We advise not to buy normal in-stock items in the same order as a pre-sale item. This is because you would need to wait for that in-stock item longer, as it will be sent later in the same package as the pre-sale item.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards. Unfortunately, to prevent conflicts with payments due to our unique purchase system, these are the only charging options at the moment
No problem, as long as the campaign is still open, you can make a number of updates to your order. If you’d like to make a change – such as request a different size, adjust your shipping address, or cancel your order – Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
However, production has begun if the campaign is no longer available and all sizes and variations are locked. Even in this case, please feel free to contact us at email@example.com, and we will see what we can do to help you.
An estimated despatch time gives you a rough idea of when we will ship out your order. An estimated despatch time can be found on the campaign page. After your order, the information can also be found on the order page at “my account”.
For more frequent and detailed updates, check out the production tracking. From the production tracking page, you’ll find out where in production the item you purchased is, what is the location of the production facility and by whom your item is being made!
We’re not asking you to just sign off on the final product. We want you to feel as though you’ve been part of the process and form a connection to your garment.
After a successful campaign, we go-ahead to production and email you a code for tracking the production. On our tracking page, you’ll find info on where your product is at the moment, what is the location of the production facility and by whom your item is being made!
If you are not up for entering to check the tracking page, we will send you info by email every time the item moves forward in production.
We purchase our organic cotton from GOTS certified suppliers in Lithuania and Finland.
Fabric cutting, sewing and placement printing are done in Finland. We give you the opportunity to track the production process for these manufacturing stages. From the production tracking page, you’ll find out where in production the item you purchased is, what is the location of the production facility and by whom your item is being made!
Shipping & Delivery
There is never such a thing as free shipping. The shipping is always covered in some manner, and primarily free shipping means the shipping cost is factored into the product prices. Our product and shipping prices are as low for our customers as possible. We do not want to raise the price of products by hiding part of the shipping cost. This is why we do not offer free shipping at the moment.
We have one shipping price for shipping. If you buy multiple items from a campaign drop, the shipping cost remains the same. Most of these times, we pay the extra fee for a heavier parcel from our pockets. Simply as our thanks for your trust and loyalty to Vermét.

Please note that customs & import charges depend on the item’s value. These charges are not included with your checkout price. If you’d like to know your country’s customs charges beforehand, contact your local post or customs office for more information.
We’d also like to note that when customs clearance procedures are required, it can increase the time that you’ll receive your purchases beyond our original delivery estimates on our site.
With every campaign product, we include an estimated despatch date. Generally, this is 6-8 weeks. However, difficulties in manufacturing can arise, and we’ll be in touch with you as soon as we can to update you if our original estimate is incorrect. For this reason, we need to know your email address.
If you are not satisfied with the product you have ordered, you have a 30-day right of return from receipt of the product.
However, unlike other brands, we do not carry inventory. This helps us keep our prices low, but makes exchanges a bit trickier. We’ll do our best to facilitate exchanges for unworn (outside of fit purposes in your home), unwashed and selable items for a comparable style. If this is not possible we return the price of the product. The shipping costs are yours to cover.

The cost of shipping is not factored into our product prices. We intentionally keep our margins low to give customers the best price possible. For this reason, we do not pay for return shipping.
